If people can’t find you online, your business might as well be invisible. That’s where an SEO specialist comes in.

But what exactly does an SEO specialist do—and why are they so important?

1. What Is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It’s the practice of improving a website so it ranks higher on search engines like Google.

When done right, SEO:

Drives more organic traffic to your site

Attracts people who are already searching for your services

Builds credibility and trust through visibility

2. What Does an SEO Specialist Do?

An SEO specialist analyzes, reviews, and improves websites to boost their performance in search rankings. Their work includes:

Keyword research: Finding what potential customers are searching for

On-page optimization: Improving content, meta tags, headings, and images

Technical SEO: Ensuring the site loads fast, works on mobile, and is properly indexed

Link building: Acquiring quality backlinks to build authority

Performance tracking: Using analytics tools to measure and adjust strategies

3. Why Your Business Needs One

Even if you have great products or services, people won’t find you without proper SEO. An SEO specialist helps you:

Compete in crowded markets

Show up ahead of your competitors

Reach the right audience at the right time

Without them, you risk getting buried under hundreds of other search results.

4. SEO Is Always Changing

Search engines constantly update their algorithms. What worked a year ago may no longer be effective.

A good SEO specialist:

Stays up to date with trends and changes

Adjusts strategies to stay compliant and effective

Helps you avoid penalties or ranking drops

5. It’s an Investment—Not a Quick Fix

SEO takes time. It’s not about overnight success but sustainable, long-term growth. A specialist ensures your efforts build toward consistent visibility and traffic.

Final Thoughts

An SEO specialist isn’t just a tech expert—they’re your guide in the digital landscape. Their work helps your business stay competitive, discoverable, and trusted.

In a world where most customer journeys begin with a search, having an SEO pro on your side can make all the difference.

While social SEO can improve reach, it also comes with unique challenges.

Here’s a breakdown of the main issues with SEO on social media, and how to navigate them smartly.

1. Algorithm Limitations

Unlike search engines, social platforms prioritize content based on engagement, not keywords. This means:

Keyword stuffing rarely helps

Over-optimized captions can feel unnatural

Search visibility can be inconsistent and depend heavily on trending formats

Workaround: Focus on human-first content. Use natural language, relevant hashtags, and engaging visuals that your audience wants to interact with. SEO here means smart formatting and relevance, not keyword overload.

2. Limited Metadata Control

You can’t fully control how your posts are indexed or ranked. Social platforms often:

Restrict where keywords can be placed (e.g., no meta descriptions)

Automatically crop or reformat content

Workaround: Optimize what you can control—usernames, bio, post descriptions, and alt-text (especially on Instagram). Keep key terms clear and consistent across your content.

3. Fast Content Lifespan

Unlike blog posts that stay searchable for years, social content often disappears from feeds in days or hours.

Workaround: Recycle and repurpose content. Turn high-performing captions into videos, or repost in different formats. Also, save important posts as Highlights or pinned content.

4. Platform-Specific Rules

What works on one platform doesn’t always translate well to others. For example:

Long captions on Instagram may perform well, but not on Twitter

TikTok search relies more on visuals and sounds than text

Workaround: Adapt your strategy by platform. Treat each one as a separate ecosystem and create native-style content that naturally fits user expectations.

5. Overemphasis on SEO Can Hurt Creativity

Focusing too much on optimization may:

Make posts feel robotic

Reduce personal voice and emotional connection

Miss the spontaneous, trend-driven nature of social media

Workaround: Keep content real and personal. SEO should support, not replace, authenticity. Pay attention to trends and user feedback more than keyword density.

Final Thoughts

SEO on social media is useful—but not everything. These platforms are social for a reason: connection comes first. Use SEO as a guide, not a rulebook. Focus on clarity, consistency, and creativity—and the visibility will follow.

But just as there are good keywords that boost your visibility, there are also bad ones that can hurt your rankings, waste your time, or even damage your reputation.

Let’s look at what makes a keyword “bad” in SEO—and how to avoid falling into common traps.

1. Keywords With No Search Volume

It might seem obvious, but many people target keywords that no one actually searches for. These often sound technical or overly specific. If a keyword has zero or very low monthly search volume, it won’t bring traffic—even if you rank first.

Before using a keyword, check it with a tool like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest. Look for at least some consistent volume.

2. Keywords That Are Too Broad

Terms like “marketing,” “fitness,” or “shoes” are incredibly competitive and vague. They don’t tell you what the user wants, and you’re likely competing with massive brands.

These keywords bring in traffic, sure—but not targeted traffic. Focus on long-tail keywords that match user intent, like “best running shoes for flat feet” instead of just “shoes.”

3. Irrelevant Keywords

Sometimes, people try to rank for trending topics that have nothing to do with their site just to get clicks. That might bring in views, but not engagement. Users bounce quickly when they don’t find what they’re looking for.

Google notices high bounce rates and poor engagement. That can hurt your site’s authority and rankings over time.

4. Overused or Spammy Keywords

If a keyword has been abused by spammers—like “cheap Viagra” or “make money fast”—it could trigger algorithm penalties or simply get ignored. These terms also tend to appear on low-quality sites, which hurts your SEO credibility.

Stick with natural, specific, and trustworthy phrasing. Avoid anything that sounds like a scam or clickbait.

5. Keywords With Poor Intent Match

Not all traffic is good traffic. If you’re a local business, ranking for general terms with national or global intent won’t help much.

For example, a small dental clinic in Miami shouldn’t try to rank for “best dentist in the U.S.” It makes more sense to focus on “Miami dental clinic” or “teeth cleaning near downtown Miami.”

6. Duplicate Keywords Across Pages

If multiple pages on your site target the same keyword, you risk keyword cannibalization. That means your pages compete with each other in search results, weakening your overall SEO performance.

Use keyword mapping to assign different, relevant keywords to each page.

7. Keywords Based on Assumptions, Not Data

Choosing keywords based on what you think people search for can backfire. Real users might phrase things differently or use unexpected language.

Always do research. Use tools, analyze competitors, and check Google’s autocomplete suggestions to find what people actually search for.

Final Thoughts

In SEO, not all keywords are created equal. Bad keyword choices can waste time, confuse users, and drag down your rankings.

Focus on keywords that:

Have decent search volume

Match user intent

Are relevant to your content

Avoid spammy or overly broad language

Good SEO starts with good keywords. Do your research, stay strategic, and let data—not guesswork—guide your choices.

Look, that stuff matters, but let’s be real—if SEO was just about plugging in the most obvious keywords, everyone would be ranking #1. The truth? Good keyword strategy is part science, part psychology. It’s not just about what people search for—it’s about why they search and how they actually behave online.

So, let’s ditch the generic advice and talk about how to find the right keywords in a way that actually works (and doesn’t make your content sound like a robot wrote it).

1. Think Like a Customer, Not Like an SEO Tool

Most keyword research starts with tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush. Great, but here’s the problem: these tools don’t think like your customers. They give you data, but they don’t tell you why someone is searching for something.

Instead of just looking at keyword lists, put yourself in your customer’s shoes:

What exact words would they type if they had zero knowledge of your industry?

If they were asking a friend for help, how would they phrase it?

What problem are they actually trying to solve?

For example, if you’re marketing a roofing business, a standard keyword tool might suggest “roof repair near me.” Useful, sure. But a real customer might search: “What do I do if my roof is leaking?” That’s where you step in—with content that answers their exact concern before they even realize they need to hire you.

2. Look at Underrated Search Intents

There are four main reasons people search:

Informational (They need an answer: “How to fix a leaky faucet”)

Navigational (They’re looking for a specific site: “Best Buy customer service”)

Transactional (They’re ready to buy: “Buy waterproof hiking boots”)

Comparative (They’re deciding: “Best DSLR cameras under $1,000”)

Most SEO strategies focus on transactional keywords (because that’s where the money is). But the goldmine? Comparative keywords. These people are on the verge of making a decision, and if your content helps them pick you, you’ve won the battle.

Example: Instead of just targeting “best home security system”, create content like “Ring vs. ADT: Which Home Security System is Actually Worth It?” Boom—now you’re capturing people right before they make a purchase.

3. Use Your Customers’ Actual Words (Not Marketing Jargon)

Marketers love fancy phrases. Customers? Not so much.

Example: A company selling ergonomic office chairs might want to rank for “best ergonomic seating solutions.” Sounds impressive, right? Problem is, no one talks like that. People actually search for “chair that doesn’t hurt my back.”

Pro tip: Check customer reviews and forums. Amazon, Reddit, and Facebook groups are goldmines for real language. If people describe your product as “the only standing desk that doesn’t wobble,” use that exact phrase in your content. Google loves when your words match what people naturally search for.

4. Go After the “Hidden” Keywords (That Competitors Ignore)

Everyone fights for the obvious keywords. Want to win? Find the gaps.

Here’s how:

Search your main keyword and scroll to the bottom of Google. Look at the “related searches” and “People Also Ask” boxes. Those are real things people search.

Look for new trends. Google Trends lets you spot rising search terms before they become competitive.

Find the “stupidly simple” keywords. Not everyone types “best protein powder for muscle gain.” Some just type “Does protein powder actually work?”—and that’s your in.

5. Don’t Just Rank—Make Them Click

Ranking #1 means nothing if no one clicks your link. The secret? Make your title irresistible.

Instead of: ❌ “Best Running Shoes for 2024”

Try: ✅ “Best Running Shoes for 2024 (Tested by Real Runners—Not Just Bloggers)”

Why? Because people are tired of generic, copy-paste SEO articles. If your title looks different (and more human), people will click it—even if you’re not the #1 result.

The Bottom Line

SEO isn’t about stuffing keywords into a page and hoping for the best. It’s about understanding how people think, what they actually search for, and how to make your content the best answer they find. Do that, and you’ll win the SEO game—no gimmicks required.

But even with its advantages, promoting on Facebook isn’t all smooth sailing. Rising ad costs, changing algorithms, and fierce competition often leave businesses frustrated. Success on Facebook requires more than just paid ads—it demands strategy and SEO know-how. Understanding its pitfalls and learning how to work around them can turn challenges into opportunities.

The Hidden Costs of Facebook Advertising

While Facebook offers targeted ads, the price of visibility keeps climbing. Small businesses, in particular, struggle to keep up with ad budgets as competition grows. Organic reach has also plummeted, pushing businesses to spend more just to stay seen.

Even when ads perform well, their success can be short-lived. Once a campaign ends, visibility often drops, forcing businesses to rely on continuous spending. This cycle can strain budgets, especially without a long-term SEO plan to support growth.

Algorithm Challenges and Content Fatigue

Facebook’s algorithm favors posts that spark engagement, but reaching that goal isn’t easy. Users scroll past ads and promotional content quickly, making it hard for businesses to stand out. Frequent algorithm updates add another layer of complexity, often reducing the reach of posts businesses depend on.

This leaves marketers constantly adjusting strategies. What worked last month may no longer be effective today, creating frustration and inconsistency. Over time, audiences also experience content fatigue, tuning out repetitive ads and ignoring branded posts.

SEO Secrets for Smarter Facebook Growth

Success on Facebook requires blending social media strategies with SEO techniques. Optimizing profiles, posts, and even ad copy improves visibility and engagement without depending solely on ad budgets.

Focus on Keywords

Keywords aren’t just for Google—they matter on Facebook too. Incorporating searchable terms in page descriptions, post captions, and hashtags helps content appear in Facebook search results. Using keywords naturally ensures posts feel authentic while improving reach.

Leverage Long-Form Content

While short, snappy posts are common, longer content can boost engagement. Posts that educate, inspire, or entertain keep readers interested and encourage shares. Pairing long-form content with SEO-driven headlines increases its discoverability and appeal.

Building Organic Reach with Evergreen Content

Evergreen content—posts that stay relevant over time—plays a key role in Facebook SEO. Creating guides, tutorials, and tips keeps audiences engaged long after the initial post. Sharing older, high-performing posts also extends their reach without reinventing the wheel.

Videos, especially live streams, rank higher in Facebook’s algorithm. They hold attention longer and often generate more comments, improving overall visibility. Incorporating SEO-focused titles and captions ensures videos get noticed.

The Power of Backlinks and Shares

Facebook isn’t an island—it connects with search engines through links and shares. Posting content that encourages sharing helps generate backlinks, boosting rankings both on Facebook and Google. Creating shareable graphics, infographics, or quizzes can increase engagement while improving SEO.

Balancing Paid Ads with Organic Growth

Facebook ads can’t replace organic growth; they should complement it. Running ads to promote high-performing organic posts combines the best of both worlds. Targeted ads attract new audiences, while organic strategies keep them engaged.

Experimenting with ad formats—like carousel ads or video ads—also helps prevent content fatigue. Combining these formats with SEO principles improves long-term performance rather than relying on short bursts of visibility.

Measuring Results and Adjusting Strategies

Tracking performance metrics reveals what’s working and what’s not. Tools like Facebook Insights and Google Analytics show how users interact with content. Analyzing trends and tweaking strategies ensures businesses stay ahead of algorithm changes.

Testing new ideas—like polls, giveaways, or collaborations—keeps content fresh and engaging. Pairing these experiments with SEO techniques sharpens results and avoids wasted ad spend.

The Bottom Line

Facebook marketing isn’t as simple as boosting posts and hoping for results. Rising costs and algorithm changes make it challenging to maintain visibility. But blending SEO strategies with social media tools can make Facebook work smarter, not harder.

By focusing on keywords, evergreen content, and balanced ad strategies, businesses can grow sustainably. The key is staying flexible, creative, and data-driven. Success on Facebook doesn’t come from chasing trends—it comes from mastering the art of blending SEO with social media savvy.

In the vast digital wilderness, many newcomers embark on the quest to conquer search engine optimization (SEO). The journey promises visibility, traffic, and digital glory, but along the way, beginners often stumble into pitfalls that hinder their progress. This tale explores the common mistakes made by those new to SEO, highlighting the lessons learned from these missteps.

The Temptation of Keyword Stuffing

In the beginning, there is the allure of keywords—the magical phrases that promise to unlock the doors to high rankings. Eager to please the algorithmic gatekeepers, beginners often succumb to the temptation of keyword stuffing. They sprinkle keywords liberally throughout their content, believing that sheer volume will boost their visibility. However, this tactic often backfires, leading to unreadable text and penalties from search engines. The lesson here is one of moderation and relevance. Keywords should be woven naturally into content, serving the reader rather than overwhelming them.

The Mirage of Invisible Text and Links

As travelers in the SEO landscape, beginners sometimes seek shortcuts, lured by the mirage of invisible text and hidden links. This deceptive practice involves embedding keywords in the same color as the background, making them invisible to human eyes but detectable by search engines. However, this trickery is quickly uncovered, and the punishment can be severe, including being banished from search results altogether. The moral is clear: transparency and honesty are vital. SEO success comes from genuine value and quality, not from underhanded tactics.

The Overgrowth of Backlinks

In the forest of the digital realm, backlinks are like vines connecting one site to another, enhancing authority and credibility. But for beginners, the pursuit of backlinks can become an obsession, leading to an overgrowth that chokes their site’s integrity. They may resort to purchasing links or engaging in dubious link schemes, not realizing that quality trumps quantity. The wise know that backlinks should grow organically, nurtured by genuine relationships and relevant content. A few well-placed, reputable links are worth far more than a tangled mess of low-quality connections.

The Isolation of Ignoring Analytics

Lost in their journey, some beginners overlook the guiding stars of analytics and data. They forge ahead without understanding the terrain, missing the crucial insights that could light their path. Analytics tools offer a treasure trove of information, from visitor behavior to conversion rates, yet beginners often neglect them. The key takeaway is that data is a compass, guiding SEO efforts towards continuous improvement. Regularly reviewing and adjusting strategies based on analytics ensures a more efficient and effective journey.

The Trap of Duplicate Content

In their quest for content, beginners may fall into the trap of duplicating content across their site or borrowing too heavily from other sources. This practice not only dilutes their unique voice but also confuses search engines, which struggle to discern the original from the copy. The consequence is often a loss of ranking or even penalties. The story’s lesson is the importance of originality and creativity. Every piece of content should offer fresh perspectives, ensuring that it stands out in the crowded digital landscape.

The Wisdom of Experience

The journey through the world of SEO is fraught with challenges and learning experiences. For beginners, the path is often marked by these common pitfalls, yet each mistake provides an opportunity for growth and wisdom. By avoiding these missteps and focusing on ethical, quality-driven SEO practices, newcomers can navigate the complexities of search engines and emerge victorious. Remember, in the ever-changing digital wilderness, it is not just the destination that matters but the journey itself, filled with learning and discovery.

Imagine, that seven years ago you opened a store selling wireless speakers and headphones. Most users simply do not know that you can listen to music without using wires. There is simply no generated demand for such a product.

That is why it will not be possible to get traffic from SEO or contextual advertising for search queries at the initial stage. And it is precisely for such an area that targeted advertising on social networks is ideal.

Advertising, in this case, takes the form of ad units in the news feed, in Instagram stories, and, even, in Facebook Messenger. Often, advertising is indistinguishable from a regular post with a picture or video, by clicking on which the user is taken to your site, page, or message.

When promoting on social networks, special attention should be paid to the design of advertising posts or videos that can convey the novelty or uniqueness of your products.

Pros of SMM:

Usually, CPC (cost-per-conversion) is cheaper than PPC (pay-per-click) advertising.

Suitable for both goods with formed and unformed demand.

The retargeting feature will allow visitors who have been on your site to remind themselves by showing the product or service they were interested in.

Very large reach audience. This type of advertising works well for brand awareness.

Lots of tools and the ability to fine-tune the interests of users and even the radius of their location.

In addition to targeted advertising, you can work with popular bloggers and opinion leaders.

It works great in conjunction with SEO promotion or contextual advertising, increasing the number of touches with the client.

Cons of SMM:

It does not always give an instant result, since ads can be shown to users who are not currently looking for a product or service.

Not suitable for all business topics.

More thorough moderation of advertisements for content that violates Facebook policies.

It needs to attract additional resources to create videos, photos, and texts.

Constant monitoring of comments and messages is required.

When maintaining pages requires systematic posting.

Email Marketing

The first place to start implementing email marketing is with your subscriber base. If you don’t have it, start creating it now.

This can be your customers who left their emails in your CRM system or on a form on your website, or blog, or the ability to sign up for discount notifications in your online store when registering.

Pros of Email Marketing:

Very cheap cost to send an email.

A quick way to notify a large number of customers about promotions and news.

Newsletter subscribers are a very loyal audience.

Great for commercial and informational projects.

The possibility of deep analytics of the opening of letters, their delivery, and clicks.

Almost every internet user has an email address.

Easy setup and integration with email marketing services.

It can increase the number of repeat sales, which increases the ROI on user acquisition.

Cons of Email Marketing:

The costs of content, design, and layout of letters.

Emails may not end up in the inbox, but end up in promotions or spam.

Time spent collecting and segmenting subscribers. Without an established base, you simply will not have anyone to send letters to.

Negative response when mailing to purchased databases.

The main advantage of Email Marketing is the ability to send automated threads or trigger messages.

For example, you want to conduct a paid training in a month. On the landing page, you can create a lead form, when filling out which, during the week, the subscriber will receive five letters with tips that will help in deciding to sign up for your training. Or you can create email notifications about products that the customer added to the cart and didn’t buy.

This is an ad that appears above the organic (SEO) search results and is flagged as an ad.

Also in Google Ads, there is a type of advertising such as Google Shopping or product advertising, which is great for the eCommerce segment. In this case, ads look like goods with prices.

It should be borne in mind that the image and cost of the product are the determining factors in the choice.

The main advantage of contextual advertising is the speed of launching an advertising campaign. Literally in a day, you can collect the keywords for which you want to promote your site, write ads, fund your account and Google will start showing ads.

Pros of PPC:

Quick start and result. Suitable for new sites.

Wide customization options. You can customize display regions, display schedules, targeting a specific device type, and even browser language.

Good for seasonal businesses and sales.

Allows you to use various strategies (conversion optimization, as many impressions as possible, and more).

Suitable for testing new niches, services, or products.

Allows you to use different ad formats (Google Shopping, KMS banner ads).

The ability to set up remarketing (showing your ads on other sites to users who have visited your site and/or performed any actions). Yes, these are the banners that always haunt you on various web resources.

Cons of PPC:

Pay-per-click. As soon as the money runs out, your ad will stop showing.

Overheated niches have a very high cost per click. For example, in the United States, 1 click on legal topics can reach more than $100.

For large sites, the initial stage of PPC requires a time-consuming setup and constant monitoring. The quality of management is highly dependent on the competence of the specialist. Also, this type of advertising requires constant analysis of indicators.

Without proper control, it is very easy and quick to spend the entire advertising budget.

May not perform well on a small range of products in competitive niches.

You can also use a number of them to mention a web resource or determine the presence of non-working “broken” links.

Check My Links

With this extension, you can check for the presence of codes 200/404 on the pages of the site. With Check My Links you can scan a site or page in seconds and find broken links. After scanning, the user is issued a detailed report on links and error codes.

The advantages include the simplicity of settings, of which there are only two. This is an option to exclude links from checking, as well as the type of queries.

Ahrefs SEO Toolbar

The extension gives all the information on the site with Ahrefs. The plugin can only be installed manually from the publisher’s official website. After installation, you can configure the utility to display all the information about the site, starting with the domain rating and ending with the presence of domains such as donors.

The advantages of the plugin include the ability to conduct a more detailed analysis of the page. And the data on the analyzed resource is issued under the link in the browser.

SmmBox

With the help of this extension, you can greatly simplify the process of adding information to the public blog. You can copy any post you like to your group or page with the date and time.

Is available a redaction of the post before finally posting it to your group, which will make it more unique.

The utility is easy to use, but users note the incorrectness of its work in terms of promoting the community. Non-unique content can cause problems and lower the community in ranking by thematic categories in the general issue.

And yet about the four most global ones

Optimization for long searches

The use of keywords with a long tail — that is, descriptive search phrases of at least three words — is becoming more and more promising with each passing month.

First, in voice search, in calls to Alexa, Siri requests with a long tail make up almost 100% – and the popularity of voice search mechanisms is growing in geometric progression.

Good SEO practice for voice search is the insertion of whole probable questions into the H1, H2, H3 page headers, into the formation of titles and meta descriptions around them.

In addition, it has been noted that fragments of special FAQ pages or frequently asked questions appear in the upper results after a voice search more often than others.

Secondly, the update of the main Google algorithm is believed to be associated with a more advanced ability to assess how sites comply with the EAT search standards.

These standards are directly related to the ability of your site to get exactly the answers – EATingable answers to the narrow questions asked by the search engine.

EAT assumes that at the top of the issue, there are informative and original posts (for example, in an online store or manufacturer’s blog), other extensive knowledge bases, useful and attractive video materials – and all this answers rather narrow, precise, and therefore long questions.

The best SEO strategy for sites related to trade or production for sale is to find a format that fits your industry and devote time to regularly submitting high-quality educational content, creating and optimizing it for requests with a long tail.

And, of course, not forgetting to divert from these publications internal links to other selling pages of your site.

5G technology is of general interest, mainly due to the fact that, according to experts, it can completely change the model of the cloud application, as well as simplify the way of communication between the individual elements of the whole cloud puzzle.

Therefore, IT professionals are trying to answer the question of who will benefit most from 5G technology. Some say it will be companies using 5G services. Others argue that most of the reasons for satisfaction will be service providers, especially those who have chosen the cloud. Still others express their opinion that telecommunication companies operating 5G networks will receive the greatest benefits.

5G technologies will certainly be welcomed by the company’s enthusiasm, primarily by those in which mobile workers work. During the trip, they often need to communicate with the head office, customers or other companies that work with them. Thanks to 5G technology, their performance will increase significantly, since connections based on 5G technology can transfer data as fast as any other wireless technology currently available.

Another advantage of 5G technology is equally important, if not more important. This is about security. Using publicly available Wi-Fi networks (and mobile workers very often use this method) seriously puts the user at risk that the confidential data sent to them will fall into the wrong hands. According to estimates, in the case of using public access networks, the security risk – compared to 5G networks – increases tenfold.

Using 5G has another advantage because you are using the same security system, because you are always on the same known network, so you know how to protect yourself from threats.

For cloud service providers based on 5G technology, return on investment costs (ROI) will be very profitable. The calculation is simple. The better and more reliable the network they offer, the more they earn. It is also important that after launching the 5G network, there are many streaming applications on the market that are currently not popular because the networks currently available have too little bandwidth. 5G technology will lead to a rapid increase in demand for such applications.

There is also no doubt that telecommunications companies will also benefit. In this case, households and enterprises will want all services offered by them to be based solely on 5G connections. So you can assume that cable modems and DSL technology will go on time.

Thus, it can be assumed that everyone will benefit, with a high probability that it can be said that the greatest benefits should be brought to enterprises. Further, there will likely be cloud service providers, and telecommunications companies will be in third place.

On the other hand, dedicated servers often have a performance advantage and are usually the first choice when building IT environments that require complete separation of resources from other users and knowledge of physical storage and processing.

VPS servers running in a virtualization cluster or cloud infrastructure adapt the most important functions of the cloud, although this type of service is not classified as a “real” cloud. In the event of a physical host failure or maintenance work, virtual machines can be moved to another node in the cluster. VPS offers the ability to take pictures or scale resources in the event of an increase in server load. However, much of this marketing, if we take into account the fact that the service is calculated as part of a monthly subscription, and not for the resources consumed, the scaling of the service is to change the server plan to a higher one without the ability to return to the previous configuration, and user data is stored in local RAID arrays, not cloud storage. Worse, hosting providers, as a rule, use rebooking and resale, which makes it difficult to talk about a full guarantee of computational computing resources. Regardless of these shortcomings, VPS services are a serious competition for virtual instances running in the cloud.

Dedicated server resources are fully provided to one client. We can choose from a variety of predefined configurations that we can customize to suit your needs, by changing the type of processor, adding RAM, or plugging in expansion cards.

Dedicated servers are a specialized service that, to a greater extent than VPS or the cloud, allows you to achieve higher performance specific to certain areas of use, for example, when maintaining high-performance databases. I’m talking here about using local RAID arrays that offer high-performance I / O to bypass the SAN network or the ability to use the full bandwidth of network interfaces and the processing power of processors without the costs of the virtualizer.

The cloud offers one important function that is useless to search in VPS and dedicated servers. We are talking here about the possibility of simple, including fully automated scaling of resources, as well as a change in the level of use of server resources. Vertical scaling involves increasing or decreasing the computational resources of the virtual machine, horizontal scaling consists of creating subsequent instances in a cluster, and then evenly distributing traffic between them at the level of the load balancer.

High availability of VPS services is provided by running virtual machines in a virtualization cluster or in a cloud infrastructure. In the event of a failure of one host, the machines are transferred to another active node. In nonclustered environments, the failure of a physical host results in the inaccessibility of all clients.

A dedicated server does not provide any redundancy, although you can implement reliability configurations on two or more physical machines. High availability of dedicated servers can be implemented in many ways, depending on usage scenarios, for example, from load balancing to several equivalent web application servers to implementing virtualization clusters and private clouds to support business applications.

In the case of cloud computing, high availability is constantly included in its definition. All cloud elements — at the computing level, in the data warehouse, and on the network — are multiplied to ensure uninterrupted service and the required level of data security.

It has been known for a long time that the content posted on the website is crucial in onsite activities. For this reason, in our today’s article we will deal with everything related to content. Where to put it, how much and what should be included in the texts to improve visibility on Google.

Why content?
Before we get to know the guidelines for all kinds of content posted on websites, it is worth considering what we need at the beginning. They help you increase both search volume and sales.

We can distinguish two reasons why content arises.
The first of these are the values flowing to users. Remember that online stores are run primarily for customers, so it is worth to encourage them to get acquainted with the offer. Home is a showcase of the company, we should present our business on it and show the user why it is worth shopping on our website. Not without significance is the style of writing, which should be appropriately selected to the target group. Content is a great way to build a long-term relationship with the user. Very often, however, it turns out that by entering our site, the user knows what to expect from it. For this reason, the content is placed at the bottom of the page so that the most important categories or products can be in the foreground.

The second goal for which content should be placed on the site is the value for Google. Conclusion of relevant keywords that will show the search engine what we do, will turn out to be significant in achieving high positions in the SERP. For this to happen, we must also take into account the uniqueness of the texts and their naturalness. This type of content will certainly be rewarded by Google, which is much more likely to show valuable search results in the search results, especially those that are valuable to users.

Appropriately constructed content is a key element on the website that is supposed to inspire the confidence of both search engine and users. You can find more information about content marketing and SEO on our blog.

Where must the content be found and what are the most important features?
The content should be found in every place of the online store. We will place it on the home page, categories, sub-categories and products. The rules of text formatting will be the same for all components of our site. However, their content will differ, which should accurately describe what is on the given sub page.

So what should content contain so that it is valuable not only for Google, but also for users?

Headings. This is a key element, increasing the number of inputs, which sets the hierarchy of validity of the content on the page. The correct text structure should contain one H1 header and two H2 headings. They will show users the most important aspects of the business, and including keywords in them will help you raise your position on Google. You can read more about the headings in our previous entry: What are website headers?

Keywords. If we want to take care of high positions in SERP pages, we must not forget about our content to contain the right number of key phrases for the main page, categories or products. In this matter, attention should also be paid to the appropriate variation and synonyms of the most important words, thanks to which the texts will look more natural. We do not need to worry about Google – his work perfectly understands numbers, declination and cases. Remember, however, not to overdo it with the number of key phrases, because it may be considered manipulation, and punishment may be imposed on our site. In the content, for example, 300 words long should be max. 2-3 unchanged keywords matched to a given sub page.

Text formatting. This is important for customers, for whom the content becomes more legible and transparent. It is much easier to read the text, which is divided into paragraphs. This is also appreciated by Google, for which the users and their convenience are the most important. In this case, the use of Black Hat SEO, i.e. hiding content by setting the font in the background color will be severely punished by Google.

Internal linking. Added in the content will help users navigate our site, and placing links to categories or products in anchors on relevant keywords will positively affect the increase in the search results (for more on this topic, see our article: internal linking structure).

Since we have already learned the most important features that content should contain in the online store, let’s think about the guidelines for texts on individual sub pages:

The content on the home page

Content on categories

Content on products

The content on the home page
The content on the home page is designed to provide users with as much information as possible about what our business is about.

Total length of the text: 300-500 words.

The text must be unique – it can not appear on any of our other sub pages (e.g. in the “about us” tab). It is important that it is not copied from the competition.

The appropriate text formatting mentioned above is welcome. The content does not have to be compacted into one block, on the contrary – dividing it into several paragraphs, arranged in different places on the home page will look more attractive. However, please remember to give proper headers …

The description should include information about the company and what distinguishes it and what is on offer.

In the content it is also worth using references to particular categories on the page (internal linking).

It is worth using words that can be used by users who will search for a given product.

It’s good to use epithets and synonyms that will expand the words that the page displays in the search engine.

Content on categories

The texts on the page of particular categories and sub-categories will saturate them with the content, which will increase the number of phrases to which they appear in the search results.

The total length of the text: 250-300 words.

Unique is also very important here – copying from other sites is not recommended.

In this case, one should also remember about the appropriate formatting: dividing the descriptions with headings, placing bold and inclinations containing the name of the category, their distinguishing features and relevant information for the users.

The content is also worth adding internal linking to product pages or other categories.

The content should contain information about:

the category it concerns (the main keyword will usually be its name),

the distinguishing factors by which users can search for products in this category,

producers of goods from this category (it is worth to name them at least),
the most important products or related categories.

Content on products
The content on the products will be created analogous to the category, however, they will differ in substance.

Total length of the text: 200 words.

Once again, uniqueness. The content should not only be copied from the producers’ websites, but also should not be repeated within the store – it is worth using a paraphrase for similar products of the same brand.

It is advisable to divide the content with H2 headings, there may also be several inclinations and bold on keywords, usually the name of the product.

The description should be a combination of useful and user-friendly content to search engines.

It’s worth remembering about linking to products, producers of other related categories.

The content should contain information about:

type of product (what is: boys’ pants, dress),

distinguishing factors, after which users can search for a product (color,

material, size / size, other characteristics),

producer (it’s important that his name appears),

should also give the specific name of the model (if it is).

Duplication of content and uniqueness of texts
Our entire article is based mainly on one simple principle: the content on the page should be unique. We eliminate duplication of content that is severely punished by Google’s robots. It is not without significance also for users who, once again experiencing the same product descriptions, will feel frustration, which will result in leaving our online store. There is also a risk that the text we copied, e.g. from the producer, is covered by copyright, so there will be painful legal problems.

Introducing appropriately optimized content per page is crucial for positioning. The effect of adding content to the site is to increase the number of views in the search results, and thus also organic traffic, which also directly translates into the sale of online stores. This way we confirmed the thesis that content is king!

One of the important elements of working on the website is internal linking. It does not require a lot of work, and at the beginning allows us to gain in the eyes of search engine robots and the user. It consists in creating such a structure of the website so that you can easily reach all of its sub pages. Thanks to the proper architecture of the site, Google’s robots know where and why they should follow, and users will stay on your site for longer. You want to see what to avoid and what to do to make linking right? We encourage you to read the article below.

Linking random phrases

The above sentence is an example of linking an accidental phrase that will not give any SEO effect, although it will be clear and legible for the user. If you want to succeed on both levels, then for each sub page you should have selected keywords that you want it to be visible on. If you want to position yourself for example on the phrase “lawn mower” then you should arrange a blog article or other text in such a way that it contains just this keyword and it should be placed in it.

It is also good practice to put a link in the form of a full URL address, where the key word is contained in it, ex domain.com/key-word

A small number of links leading to an important page
When using internal links, not only is the quality and the linked phrase important, but the quantity is also important. It is safe to say that the more the better. Especially if we talk about important for you.

If you run a blog, you can put in it articles describing your product, its use or advantages and disadvantages. In this text you can easily add a link to the product. This has an impact on Google’s robots – they get a clear signal of what site is important to you, as well as users who will be more easily able to navigate your site.

No optimization of the old content
This is a very important element that most page owners forget about. At a time when Content Marketing is the King, it’s important to not only create new, valuable content. It is also important to return to previously written articles and update them.

Refreshing may involve the extension or addition of content, as well as the inclusion of internal links in new articles. This is important for several reasons:

– the older the page the more trustworthy it is from the search engine’s side;

– greater confidence = more power of SEO, which it transmits.

If we do not do it, we will not strengthen the newer pages and the old ones will become outdated. And as we mentioned above – the more links, the better.

First Link Counts
Also, do not fall from extremes to extremes and create articles with only internal links in the content. First of all – it looks bad and unnatural, and secondly you can harm yourself. If you place a link to this page, e.g. a search engine three times, only the first link will be considered. That is why we recommend that for 2-3 to 4000 characters, there should be 2-3 internal links with different addresses.

No rule 3 steps
The website user must move around freely. He will not want to look for a given product or category in the thicket of links, especially when he goes to a specific sub page from the search engine. It happens that the user will visit the website and completely does not know where he is located, and the URL in the browser instead of indicating / category / product, displays random characters (which means that no friendly URLs are used).

That’s why – especially in the case of stores, try to use the 3-step rule, which assumes that you can reach every page on the website with 3 clicks. One example is the following layout: domain.com -> category -> product or domain.com-> category -> subcategory -> product

This structure allows the user to quickly move to the category or product he is interested in, without wandering around the site. It is also an activity that has a positive effect on the operation of the search engine robot, to which we indicate the right way and lead it from the home page, through the category to the products. This speeds up indexing of the page, so the changes introduced on it will be faster.

Lack (extension) of the website structure
The development of the website structure has a positive effect on internal linking as well as general SEO activities. When publishing articles and creating new subpages, linking can be used in two directions. From the new content, link to older articles and vice versa – from old articles, link to those that have just been created.

Hide links from robots and users
At the end, we warn against the use of the procedure, which is to hide the links. We mean, for example, giving the same color to letters as the page background. It also hides text behind the image or setting the font size to zero.

We realize that some people can do it unconsciously, but remember that punishment can be the case. It is often associated with the removal of the page from the search results.

It may seem that the examples we provide are overwhelming. And in addition there is more opportunity to make a mistake than to succeed. Finally, we would like to give you 4 practices that you should follow if you want your internal linking to be correct:

The links should have the “dofollow” attribute;

Linking should be diverse, e.g. from a blog to a store, from a product to a category;

Linking entries and articles thematically related to each other;

All links must be the same either with WWW or without WWW – for search engine robots are two other sites.

Let’s look at the main aspects of mobile SEO and marketing.

Those who have not yet joined the work with smartphones and mobile devices, it is strongly recommended to keep up with today’s realities, since one should not lose such an excellent opportunity. Mobile marketing is not an easy task, that’s why we offer you to familiarize yourself with 8 basic tips for its organization.

1. Keywords
In mobile SEO, keywords are very important. But here you have to think outside the box, as the use of keywords in the context of mobile search does not quite happen as on a regular PC. Users in the search for a PC often use long key queries, with mobile search, preference is given to short ones.

2. Building a strategy for working with links
Work with links also can not be underestimated. However, there are no fundamental differences in the work with references from the PC strategy. To raise the rating here, you also need to place external links from trustworthy and authoritative sites, generate valuable content, establish links and post guest posts.

3. Social integration
There is one main feature here: social networks and mobile devices are closely intertwined. Today, most people prefer to use social applications, so that in any situation be inseparable from the digital world. There is a tendency that mutual integration only deepens. That’s why marketers need to embed social buttons on the site and strengthen their presence in social networks and Google+.

4. No need to worry about links
Quite recently there were discussions on the topic: do mobile versions of sites transfer the reference weight to their desktop counterparts. Disputes ended Google, which stated that Googlebot-Mobile and Googlebot index the desktop and mobile versions independently and separately, unless they are seriously suspected. Thanks to this, you can direct users to various mobile URLs, without fear of impact on attendance and rating of the desktop site. Google easily distinguishes mobile from the desktop version of the resource.

5. Actual and valuable content
The basis of any strategy is content. However, along with the keywords, mobile marketing requires short content. If you know that your content is interested in mobile device users, then you need to make the text as short and as brief as possible. It is necessary to concentrate on what is especially important for visitors from mobile devices, and also to try to abandon unnecessary details.

6. Independent resource design
If you need to create a mobile version of the resource, then the simplest way is to use the desktop version of the design in a reduced form. However, this is not a very correct decision. Some elements that are beautifully displayed on the desktop site, quite unexpectedly, can behave on the mobile version. It is best to leave only the necessary, removing all the dynamic elements. This will make it easier to view the site, both for search robots and for visitors.

7. Adaptive design
This design will solve most of the problems associated with mobile URLs, appearance and content of the site. Experts strongly recommend using adaptive web design, as it is most suitable for creating sites that will look great and work correctly on different devices, regardless of the operating system, screen sizes and other various factors.

8. Tools for working with mobile SEO
To optimize the desktop site uses a certain number of tools, respectively, and for mobile SEO will need their tools. There are various options, however, Google Search Console and Google Analytics can be the most effective solution for analyzing mobile traffic.

The correct search engine optimization is, apparently, the main strategy that can help the owners of online stores create a successful business. However, the algorithms of search engines are constantly changing (it is enough to recall the launch of “Penguin” and the upgrade of “Panda”), and now online retailers are forced to study the mechanisms of the action of search engines. Owners of virtual counters should make sure that their techniques are not outdated and that the keywords of their websites are relevant to the required queries.

If you want search engines to highly rank your site, offer you six main components of a successful SEO strategy.

Keywords. Keyword research is the first step to the right SEO strategy. To succeed, you need to study the queries that people enter into search engines to search for a particular product or service. If you manage to find the right keywords, then you will attract traffic to your site for the requested queries. Arrange a “brainstorm” to determine the correct keywords (you can use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool as an assistant). If you notice that some keywords are too often used in your business, expand the phrases, make longer queries (two to five words) that would be convenient for search engines. The longer the phrase, the less you will have competitors in a particular request.

Meta element. They also play a very important role in SEO. If you type any query in the search engine, you will see how it will be reflected in the title of this Internet page. Google studies the title of your page and determines its relevance. The same goes for Description.

Content. It’s true, content taxis. Quality content is not only the best way to promote the query for keywords. It also creates a positive attitude to you from the customers. Good content teaches, educates the consumer and simultaneously increases your credibility. No doubt, good, high-quality content will increase your sales.

Links that lead to your site. Remember: it is important not how many links contains a particular site, but how many quality links leading to it. You can create such links by sending your press releases to companies of interest to you. Also, offer your materials to the authors of popular blogs. Try to create the best site in your field, and then people, when discussing your product or service, will themselves place links to your resource. Fill the site with such quality and interesting content that bloggers and news sites themselves refer to your site.

Social networks. Since the birth of social media, the algorithms for their actions have changed. Many sites are user-oriented: for example, Digg.com entered a vote, according to which users chose the main material of the day. Therefore, commercial companies should be present on such sites as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. In addition, this is a signal for search engines, hinting at the authority and influence of the firm.

Pictures. If you think that the pictures on the site do not mean anything, you are mistaken. When users search for a particular product in the search engines, they also look at the results in the image search. Put on your site quality illustrations of the goods that you sell, and be sure to include keywords in the captions to them, and then the pictures will take advantageous places in the issuance of search engines. This will attract additional traffic to your site.

In addition to these six recommendations, you can add the following. Analyze the business of your competitors and try to find out which strategies they are using. Learn their ways of optimization (including offline and social networks). And even if it turns out that you are doing about the same, you will receive very important information if you watch your rivalry from the side.
